IDF is happy to start the electoral procedure according to the IDF Rules and Regulations.

The documents needed to better understand the procedures are:

• Bylaws

• IDF Election Policy

 

IDF is happy to share an executive summary for all the members.

The position available to run as candidate are the following (Art. 24 Statute):

• President

• 1st Vice President

• 2nd Vice President

• General Secretary

• Board Member representing the Women in Sport Commission

• Board Member representing the Parasport Commission

 

Each candidate must have a written endorsement of the federation where the candidate is holding the citizenships. Please refers to Articles 25 of the Statutes.

The positions relating to the athletes’ commissions are:

• Male Board Member representing the Athletes Commission

• Female Board Member representing the Athletes Commission

 

They are going to be elected following the articles 37of the statutes and during the first world championship of the IDF. Please refers to article 37 of the statutes.

The positions relating to the Continental Councils are:

• Board Member Representing Asia

• Board Member Representing Africa

• Board Member Representing Europe

 

These positions are going to be elected by the respective councils, as per the statutes, after the first board and during their respective continental championships.

As far as IDF has not member representing the Panamerican Region and the Oceania region, if they are not going to have member after the general assembly of the 25th of April 2026, they are going to be elected as two independent board members, with a proper election, following the article 24 of the statute of IDF.

In the last general meeting of IDF, the members decided to not have continental bodies.

According to the statute, article 32, if the new board will decide to not have continental commissions, the board itself can appoint an executive board member representing the continent.

​

Executive board Members are eligible for a maximum of three terms. Please refers to Articles 25 of the statute.

The presidency of IDF must nominate:

• 1st scrutineer

• 2nd Scrutineer

 

The voting period will be open for 30 days in which the members have time to vote electronically. Vote identity will be requested and voting check identity will be applied according to the article 14 or the IDF Policies.
