New Associate Member: Asia Pacific Darts Organization

IDF and IDF Board is happy to announce that the IDF Board has approved a new Associate Member: Asia Pacific Darts Organization.

The Asia Pacific Darts Association (APDA) was founded by JDarts Asia in 2012 and is officially registered as a non-profit sports organization in Hong Kong. Our mission is to promote darts among young people, breaking the stereotype that links darts with bars and negative habits. We emphasize that darts is a competitive sport requiring physical coordination, focus, muscle memory, and arithmetic skills, which are especially beneficial for youth brain development and critical thinking.

Over the years, APDA has actively organized both local and international youth darts tournaments, inviting overseas players to Hong Kong to exchange skills and raise the standard of local youth. We work closely with JDarts Asia for venue and funding support, and continuously seek additional sponsorship. In recent years, we have expanded our programs to include seniors, people with disabilities, wheelchair users, the visually and hearing impaired, families, and SEN students, offering diverse training and large-scale competitions, as well as preparing youth for international events.

As of 2025, APDA has over 800 members and more than 3,000 participants in our tournaments. We are committed to promoting darts with a professional and positive image, aiming to make darts a mainstream sport in Hong Kong and to completely remove its past negative stereotypes
